This ia an oil painting depicting a Idaho moon rise. When Ovanes' created this painting he wanted to create the feeling of peace and simplicity as the viewer is taken into the world of this moonrise. The mood set of being captivated by the rising  is  enhanced by the warm colors surrounding the moon  juxtaposed with the thick clouds in the background. Note the main image is a close up of the entire painting shown in the list image, but watching the video is recommended to fully take in the colros and mood of this painting.
